Let me tell you the truth, I don't have a favorite navy blue dress. This is such a beautiful color that I couldn't possible pick one as my favorite. Navy blue works well with my skin tone so I play this color up a lot. I do wear other colors of dresses but when I'm stuck, this is my fallback dress.
Allan Schwartz has a great looking navy blue dress for this season. It's a shimmery, sleek looking cocktail dress that I love. This one is strapless and comes with a bow on the top. It's side pleated as well. It's listed as being mostly Triacetate and polyester--this material is incredibly sweet. I just love it! It was difficult to shop by fabrics online but this one is definitely something I fell in love with. His A.B.S line has other good looking dresses in other colors too, but that's for another time.
For a more embellished design, try a navy blue dress from Dancing Queen. This one has the same silky, elegant look to the material and is great for fancy occasions. Wear it to the club, or to a dance, or a party and you can't go wrong. It's decorated with clear and blue square crystals on the right side of the waist area. If you're looking to accent your figure, this dress is good for you since it is gathered at the waist to give you a corset-like effect. You get versatility in this dress with straps that can be taken off if you want. The girls love this dress even for Sweet 16s, Quinceaneras, and more. It's a midnight navy blue so you can keep it simpler with the matching of accessories and shoes. Simply pair it with some pewter, clear, or white pumps for a killer cute combination.
Most of these dresses are more elegant, which is not everyone's cup of tea. Simpler navy blue dresses are made around Summer time. You can find navy blue dresses for sun dresses and short dresses just as easily. This is a serene, pretty color that never goes out of style
